“Great. I’ll be there shortly.” She said with a smile and said her goodbyes to the girl on the other side of the phone. As she finished packing, she checked in with her (It think I’ll end up making it her grandmother) to tell her she’d be leaving. In near 15 minutes, Kanaya knocked on the door of the plain two story house.
“Splendid! I’ll see you in a bit, then.” HANG UP. FLOP BACK ON BED. SIGH IN RELIEF. Figuring she should greet Kanaya closer to the door, Aradia rolled out of bed and sat in the kitchen and tapped her nails against the black table. Once she heard a knock, she rushed to the door and greeted her buddy with a hug and a smile. Pulling away, she stepped away for Kanaya to come in. “Make yourself at home!” The inside of the house was basically made up of five basic colours - Red, black, white, medium green and light green. Her mother was oddly fond of the last two, and insisted on at least having the upholstery as those colours. “Are you hungry or something?”

Kanaya giggled at the frog’s protest, and responded to Aradia. “That sounds really nice. Would you mind if I stayed the night, though?”
“Oh, I don’t mind at all! It’s been a while since someone’s been over, so.” MAYBE IT’S BECAUSE YOUR DAD SCARES THE CRAP OUT OF THEM, YOUR MOM LOOKS HOMICIDAL AND YOU HAVE AN UNSETTLING OUIJA BOARD RUG IN YOUR ROOM. “Need my address?”
“Alright…” Kanaya searched for a pen. “What is it, then,” She asked as she began packing a small overnight bag with clothing and toiletries.

Kanaya was washing clothes as her cell phone rang. As she didn’t often recieve calls, it was quiet a curious situation, but she checked the caller ID nonetheless. “Oh!” She smiled and answered.
“Hello?” He voice quirked, pleased that her friend called.
Aradia sighed as she waited for the ringing to stop. Maybe she was busy being all classy and fashionable and- YAY.

“kanaya!!” was the name that was highlighted after a moment, and pressing the call button so quickly the redhead could have broken the sound barrier, she placed her phone up to her ear and waited for her buddy to pick up.
